I wrote When Our Eyes First Met in 2014, when I was 18 years old. I wanted to imagine what falling in love at first sight would feel like and tried to capture that feeling through mostly calming, tonal harmonies. I’m not sure if love at first sight is real, but this piece is my take on how I think it might feel.
